I think it goes without saying, the Porter Cable 7424XP is a GREAT machine, but in case you're just starting your reasearch I'll save you the trouble; this is the centerpiece of a great, reliable and trouble-free polishing kit. I shopped the cheaper units and I'm glad I didn't compromise. I have a black 2004 Corvette Z06 and I go over the exterior thoroughly 2-3 times a year and this kit is a great asset and time-saver. The included pads are precisely what I need for a basic kit. Be aware that the orange pad is a cutting pad so it's good for scratch removal but you MUST use a finishing polish with the white pad after you use it or you will have micro-marring from the cutting pad. I was also very impressed with the included micro-fiber towel; it's one of the nicest ones I've seen. Finally, I was also impressed with the included polish and wax. I wasn't expecting much and I already have a brand I'm loyal too, but they are quite good. The only other thing I would have liked to see included in the kit is a couple of microfiber bonnets to go over the foam pad.
