What can I say, if you want to use the Windshield on a 1" tubed handlebar, you need to buy the supplemental mounting kit. I wish it came as a choice option with the windshield in the first place, since I now have the smaller size set just sitting in a bag, but if you want it.... The windshield does work great, except the no slip tape fell apart during the install, but enough was left to do what it was intended for. Anyway, a Xmas present for my wife (only has ridden the bike once in a month-go figure), but we will see as to down the road longevity. I thought about reducing the stars, but didn't because I do appreciate that it does what it was intended for at a price that was less than others. Using it on a VN800a Kawasaki that my wife rides, we will see this summer how well it holds up.
