I needed to put a full set of brakes on my 2004 Dodge Ram Dually. I found these Power Stop K2203 units on Amazon and the price was right. A full set of 4, drilled, slotted and plated silver with Pads for just under $550.00 delivered! What a great buy considering that the name brands were going for quite a bit more. Let me preface this also by saying that because of some miscommunication either from Amazon or I just hit the button without checking this was the second set that I purchased because the first set was wrong. Now the only reason that I gave this review 3 stars is that Amazon stepped right up and fully refunded for the wrong set and even picked up the return shipping! Amazon is really the BEST when it comes to customer service. And I don't have any affiliation with Amazon except as a customer. The big beef that I had with both shipments was the PACKAGING. Whoever decided to loosely insert 2 chunks of iron weighing nearly 25 pounds each in a flimsy single ply cardboard box should have their employment terminated! I think they started the trip as a boxes but by the time they arrived looked like cardboard sacks held together with a copious amount of packing tape. They were clanging around as the FedEx driver unloaded them in my yard. Obviously someone was trying to save some money. Not a good choice. Of the 4 total packages that I received in both shipments only one looked like it was still a cardboard box. Because this situation was evident in both shipments it wasn't an isolated incident. Most companies that ship heavy metal machinery parts use double and also triple ply corrugated boxes. Set #1 was ok cosmetically but set #2 the ones that I used on my truck arrived with some small nicks that had to be dremeled out to prevent fatigue cracking during their lifetime. Also the drilling and slotting was about half as many as most drilled and slotted rotors that I have observed from other manufacturers. The plating looked really good but that only lasts for a short time. Unless the packaging improves I would not recommend these rotors! In summary decent product, Horrible packaging and fantastic retailer. Amazon, You're the BEST!
Columbo alert!......1 more thing, Why didn't I send the second shipment back? I couldn't afford to keep my truck tied up any longer. I need it for my work and it REALLY NEEDED BRAKES!
