After buying these replacement struts for our 1997 Nissan Pathfinder, I will never buy another Gabriel product again. The first time, I bought just the strut, and assembled the unit myself. Still had the same problem (spring popping in unit). I purchased this ReadyMount, thinking that since it was all new parts (spring, strut, isolator mounts, etc.) it would fixing this problem of the spring popping inside the unit. Of course, it did not. We ended up replacing with Monroe brand, and have not had a problem since. Waste of money. Although it has the warranty, why keep fighting a losing battle and have to replace it every year? it wouldn't be so bad, but the Pathfinder requires a special nut to remove the locking nut for the front wheel bearing, and requires the pre-load to be set, which is time consuming, and a pain.
