Needed a good jacket for bicycling in the cold Northeast from late fall to early spring. Could not find anything suitable in the bicycle world. Found this jacket in the motorcycle world. I figured if it can keep you warm riding a motorcycle in the cold weather then it should do the same riding a bicycle in cold weather. Has everything I could ask for in a cold weather riding jacket and more. Comes with a lot of protective padding but since I use it for bicycling I'll probably remove the back pad and the shoulder pads. This will help reduce the weight since it's pretty heavy. Plenty of pockets, vents and adjustments for a custom fit. I purchased the XL (I weigh about 180lbs) to ensure that I could comfortably layer underneath but with the liner installed I don't think I'll need but a wicking shirt. In fact, I might even get too warm on my cold weather rides! The liner is removable so it's easy to adjust wearing this jacket when the temperature fluctuates. I also like the high visible Yellow for safety. The jacket is not cheap but the quality and features make it well worth the expense. If you motorcycle and/or bicycle in cool/cold weather you can't go wrong with this jacket. I almost can't wait for the cold weather to arrive to try it out. I said "almost"!!
